Welcome to Southern Podiatry

Southern Podiatry was established in 2007 in Waiuku (originally located at 12 Bowen Street) by Treena Harris.
We cover all aspects of foot care, encouraging a podiatric focus on preventative therapies, fixing problems before they begin.
In fact Podiatrists specialise in any complaints/conditions from the knee down!
Our patients range in age from new born babies to seniors – nobody is too young or too old to receive Podiatry care.
At Southern Podiatry our services include treatment of ingrown toe nails, corns and calluses, specialist diabetic foot care, nail concerns, treatment of cracked heels and foot/leg pain, footwear advice, and much more.
The aim is to keep you and your family happier & healthier from the feet up.
Treena Harris
Nursing and Podiatry working together! Treena is currently registered in dual professions,  as a Podiatrist and as a Registered Nurse.

As well as keeping busy in the clinic, Treena also works with NZ Steel in an Occupational Health Nurse role when required.

Treena’s medical career began with a Diploma for Comprehensive Nursing program, followed by a Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing. Then upon her return to NZ after working overseas, she completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry.

Treena initially worked within Starship, Auckland and North Shore Hospital before she took her skills abroad to such places as the UK, Mainland Europe, and Australia.

Treena’s interest and focus in Podiatry lead her back to NZ to complete the career pathway change. Once completed, Treena headed back to Australia for several years to gain experience. This then created the opportunity to return to NZ to build her own clinic and client base. And as a result in 2007 Southern Podiatry was born.

The Southern Podiatry team is made up of Treena Harris, Sarah Price, Mia Goodall & Dawn McKay.

Also part of the team is Kimberly Scott – our awesome locum that comes in & looks after our patients when required. Kimberly used to work here with Treena at Southern Podiatry in the early days, so is familiar with our standards & isn’t a stranger to a lot of our lovely patients.

Treena is supported by Sarah during the week, Mia on Saturday’s & Dawn whenever her assistance is required.

No matter which one of the admin team you encounter, our team is here to assist you with your foot care needs.

Handling everything from front desk and telephone inquiries to processing all the Podiatry instruments & equipment. They are all invaluable members of the team, and if there is anything they can help you with, please just ask.

Our Podiatry team are diligent with maintaining professional standards. We routinely attend Podiatry Network meetings for ongoing professional development. Working collaboratively is also an essential component with providing our clients with the most up to date, effective therapies for their foot care.
